2011 Has Come and Gone!
12/27
Why with every child is this (and similar extravagant acts of danger) something so terribly exciting for my husband to do... I will never know. He is excited though that she can now perform her own acrobatics!
Hairy and the Hendersons....after which he also put in our queue on Netflix :) He's a great dad!
sparkly, flip flops. Mind you it was the Santa at the Dell Diamond that put these ideas in her head. Eh Hem - next year Santa keep your mouth closed! Thank goodness she didn't realize what he was asking when he asked if she wanted an American Girl doll!
Santa even came to me! oh happy joy! a book and a pedicure!
Daddy helping with the Chemistry set Presents round three...we started with Bret's family (one per child) and our own immediate family on Christmas Eve...then Santa gifts, then they had gifts from Grandmom (our adopted grandparents here) such fun!
Not sure what this is...but Eli or Henry captured it with their new camera (our old one ;) )
more science experiments
And to top off the night - we LET the boys sleep in the van! I'm not kidding! Bret picked up a chair for me, so the seats were folded down in the van - and Henry and Eli had a blast watching movies on the laptop and then going to bed. Henry is good at thinking things up to do!
Twas the Night Before Christmas...
Henry could guess those were legos ;) he was secure in his decision!
they've been asking and and dying to open one!
Truly's and Willow's where from Oma
You cannot see past her hair, but she was very excited and squealing with delight!
Willow is now up from her nap and ready to open her 1st Christmas present ever!! this one had been making googly noises at the kids since it came in the mail and they were very excited to see it! (it's a ball btw)
tasty ...:)
ahhh completion
And for the snacks! Henry's top request since thanksgiving! Cheese ball! BTW when asked what his favorite part about Christmas was... cheese ball! hah! This looks like a somber face but let me tell you - this child is in divine delight - as pb oreos are not oft around in this house and OH how they fill him with sheer pleasure And, now for some family time. The only family we had this year was virtual - so...this is, as I like to call her, their Virtual Oma
A backrub for the dear husband ;) They only thing he really ever wants for Christmas the other set..
were all sick with a cold virus (minus Bret). I was miserable! boo My princess!
Truly adoring her sister through the net :)
Henry toook one of me while i took one of him . We got to come home after church and have our own candle lighting ceremony and read Luke 2:1-20, sing songs to Jesus and pray - it was very special
actually heated in the microwave warm....eeeww. oh well, sorry doc, I don't think they are going to make her bigger or taller, it is just not in the genes for her
Presents left by Santa, awaiting the sparkly eyed children in the morning
